Update of 6 January 2023
Firstly, best wishes to all for 2023.
Given that it was a short week there was not a great deal of work carried out this week. It was:-
On the 4th and 5th floors, the drylining, including sound insulation and the resilient bars have continued to be fitted.
M&E to the new apartments continuing. Bathrooms now with most first fix plumbing. Electrical first fix wiring and AV wiring being run.
Underfloor heating pipework was being run in the new Flats on the 4th floor.
Some of the Velux rooflights were fitted.
The new metal framed walls to the front exterior of the new build part was covered with cement board.
The reinforcing mesh for the Knight Frank extension was fitted.
Work to be carried out next week;
Intensity on site needs to ramp up as there is a lot of work to do before completion and Mayer are still programming to complete around Easter 2023. Apologies but there will be more men and increased activity over the next few months, but so that the scaffold can come down as soon as possible and before the better weather starts.
The stone to the front elevation will start to be fitted this coming week. The stone is fixed on metal rails which are bolted to the concrete panels. There will be some noise but it is more ‘drilling’ type noise and not hammering with heavy machines type noise.
Insulation and render to the rear elevation is also starting this coming week. There has been a delay in agreeing the detail of this, given the tragic issues with Grenfell and also with insurance companies penalising buildings with any type of cladding. What we are fitting does not have any cavities and is non-flammable.
Internal work within the new Flats will also increase and to include plastering and fitting of bathrooms. Walls will be closed and plumbing and electrics will advance.
Flat roof finishes are to start.

Plumbing work in the new flats moving on.

Underfloor heating advancing on the 5th floor.

Rooflights now fitted.

Rooflights in and roof ready to accept the stainless steel finish
