Update of 24th November
Important things for occupiers. The new Lift is operational and in use. Still some cleaning and tweaking to do but at least it is finally going up and down.
We are still working to the Mayer programme of 27th October as in this link, even though some items shown to have been completed have not been completed Program Olaf Court 27.10.23
The new front door is fitted and ready for use. Fobs are currently being given to lessees and occupiers, if directed by the lessee. Mayer will be in contact to arrange for this. The fobs are ‘numbered and recorded’ and a system will be set up. Would lessees please let Mayer know how many fobs are required and what they should do with the fobs, ie give to the tenant and/ or some to the tenant and some to the lessee etc? This is due to happen next week and then the plywood door can be removed. Postboxes will be fitted on Monday 27th November. The plywood door will be removed next week.
This week some more of the common parts ground floor joinery was finalised and decoration continued and by the end of next week the common parts should be cleaned and ready for proper use. Fitting the new matwell and removing temporary protection will be the last jobs and that work is scheduled for the following week, so week ending 1st December.
There is damage and marking to the common parts walls and ceilings so some further decoration is required to leave all new.
There is still some work to do at the rear of the building and according to the Mayer programme was to be completed by yesterday. This is quite messsy work. It also involves a water based material which cannot be applied in 5 degrees or lower, even if that is overnight. Mayer may have to set up a heating system to allow this work to be completed because the forecast for all of next week is temperature overnight of less than 5 degrees.
New front doors to the existing Flats will follow in the new year and we will be in touch to sort out dates. Mayer are not doing this work.
We are almost there!
